Admission Procedures
Required materials for all degree-seeking applicants:
- This completed online application for admission (application for admission also serves as scholarship application)
- A copy of a permanent resident card (green card) made by an admissions representative if the applicant is a resident alien
- There is no application fee
- Additional materials required for all freshman applicants:
- Test scores on either the ACT or SAT I (UST’s school code for SAT I is 6880, and for ACT it’s 4238.)
- Official high school transcript or official copy of GED mailed directly to the office of admissions
- A graded writing sample
- Additional materials required for transfer applicants:
- For transfer applicants with 24 or more semester hours of earned college credit, an official transcript from every institution of higher education attended
- For transfer applicants with fewer than 24 semester hours of earned college credit, an official high school transcript and scores from either the ACT or SAT I (if applicant has graduated from high school in the past 5 years) will also be required
- Additional requirements for international applicants:
- In lieu of ACT/SAT I scores, official TOEFL score (or completion of Level 112 through ELS Language Center ) may be submitted if first language is not English. SAT I scores strongly encouraged. Minimum score on paper TOEFL is 550; computer-based minimum is 213. UST TOEFL code is 6880.
- Official high school and college transcripts require translation and evaluation by an independent service accredited by the National Council on the Evaluation of Foreign Student Credentials (CEC).
- Additional forms required by U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service available through the Admissions Office.
Required materials for all non-degree-seeking and audit students:
- This completed online application for admission
- A nonrefundable $35 application fee (not required if applicant has attended UST within past 25 months)
- Transcript from last college attended or verification of good academic standing from home institution required of non-degree-seeking students

How to Use the University of St. Thomas Online Application
|
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from
the popup lists (where applicable).
After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left
column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current
screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct
your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to
skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function
on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.
Once you have completed the application, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column to submit the
application.
