Using the Matching Assistant

The Matching Assistant will help you choose which campuses best meet your specifications. There are a number of different parameters from which you can choose. Once you have selected the options that best meet your requirements, you may view a list of all campuses that match your specifications. Because graduate students and undergraduate students have different requirements, there are two different Matching Assistants.

Definition of Terms: Undergraduate

Major: The availability of a particular program or major at the campus. A student may enter all or part of a major name to search.

Sports: If a student is interested in a particular sport or division, the student can select campuses that offer that sport.

Undergraduate Enrollment: Total number of full-time undergraduate students.

Cost to Attend: Overall full-time tuition, room and board and other fees per academic year.

% Living on Campus: Percentage of undergraduate students who live in college-owned, -operated, or -affiliated housing.

Geography: The region where the campus is located within the state of Texas, such as Panhandle Plains or Gulf Coast.

Setting: The type of area where the campus is located, such as Small Town or Urban.

Religious Affiliation: The religious affiliation of the school (if any).

% Out of State Students: Percentage of students who are from outside of Texas.

Student to Faculty Ratio: The ratio of undergraduate students per faculty member.

Setting: The type of area where the campus is located, such as Small Town or Urban.

Religious Affiliation: The religious affiliation of the school (if any).
