Huston-Tillotson University is a historically Black, church-related, coeducational, four-year, liberal arts college, and affirms an institutional commitment to be a multicultural, multiethnic, and multifaith community. The mission of Huston-Tillotson University is to educate a diverse, multicultural community of students for leadership and service in the 21st century. The distinctive challenges of the Huston-Tillotson University mission are the institution's bold commitments: to teaching undergraduate students; to serving students of diverse cultural backgrounds, abilities, and preparation; and to identifying and training future leaders.

The campus of Huston-Tillotson University consists of more than 23 acres of land located in the eastern section of the city of Austin, Texas. The university campus is noted for its elevated site, the rolling contour of the land, and for the abundance of trees and shrubs that beautifully complement the buildings.


UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Huston-Tillotson University offers bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in nineteen majors in business, education, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The college offers an honors program, cooperative education, campus ministry, career guidance, and counseling and tutoring assistance. Huston-Tillotson University has it all: small classes, caring professors, friendly students, a beautiful campus, plenty of extracurricular activities, cooperative arrangements with neighboring colleges and universities, and much, much more.
