Founded in 1890, Texas Wesleyan University is a private, liberal arts university in a new urban setting. The purpose of the university is to create a learning environment where personal attention provides each student an opportunity to pursue individual excellence, to think clearly and creatively, to develop a spiritual sensitivity and commitment to moral discrimination and action, and to develop a sense of civic responsibility. Wesleyan's picturesque, 75-acre campus overlooks historic downtown Fort Worth in north central Texas.
